7 full-time staff and a handful of part-time staff cover all hours of the day and night, being available to families at any moment needed. Our team, led by Paula Kinney, Director of Services, and Amy Hilkerbaumer, Guest Registration Coordinator, greets every family with enthusiasm and willingness to help. Kathy and Paula have Master degrees in Social Work and School Counseling respectively, and thus have fine-tuned a program that individualizes family needs and emphasizes caring and respect. The program has been perfected and has evolved and gained recognition in the healthcare community. Master level students from the major universities also assist families with any special needs or activities to take their minds off long days at the hospitals.

HavenHouse could not fulfill its mission to serve so many needy families without the extraordinary help of the more than 1,800 volunteers that volunteered time.

The families also dearly love Georgia McGee, Kitchen Manager. Georgia cooked for the children’s home for 25 years before transitioning to the HavenHouse team in 2004.
