HavenHouse St. Louis began thanks to the generosity of YouthBridge Community Foundation.  With the gift of start-up money, HavenHouse was able to run and focus on creating a wonderful program and a home away from home to families that travel to St. Louis for medical care. 

This start-up funding ended in 2008.  Now, HavenHouse relies on a combination of funds from the Annual Fund, family fees, grants and special events.  HavenHouse has no affiliation with federated funds or public agencies.

Individuals, foundations, and corporations give generously each year to HavenHouse’s Annual Fund to ensure that we continue to help families balance the stress of their troubles and anxieties.  All families pay a fee; however, their fee only covers one third of the true cost of care. 

Donors can take a charitable deduction for gifts and bequests made to HavenHouse St. Louis.  HavenHouse St. Louis is a non-profit as defined under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. 

Contributions are essential for the continuation of HavenHouse’s mission: to provide lodging, care, and support services for families who travel to St. Louis for medical care.  HavenHouse St. Louis helps 7,000 people from 2,600 families every year.  We genuinely appreciate and rely on the continued community investment in our program.
