Many families have no resources for meals and rely upon HavenHouse St. Louis for nutritious breakfasts and dinners during their stay in St. Louis. Weekend meals are provided by restaurants, churches, synagogues and volunteers who prepare meals for approximately 35 guests. Many donors have committed to providing a meal once a month.Â

We provide meals seven days a week, which includes a full breakfast and dinner, serving approximately 200 families per month. On weekends, our cook is off and we must rely on donations from others for our Saturday and Sunday night dinner. Our typical weekend guest list is 35. Meals are prepared off sight and delivered to HavenHouse by 4pm, where our staff will then portion out the food for diners to pick up. Frozen meals may be delivered the prior week, our staff will heat them.
Meal ideas include casseroles, pasta, chili, salads, chicken & noodles beef brisket – what is your specialty?
Please consider donating a weekend meal to a family who has traveled to St. Louis to receive our outstanding medical care for their critically or chronically ill loved one. Through our support, they can focus on being there for their family member during their time of crisis.
We salute our weekend meal partners and thank them for providing for our families:

“When you serve, it doesn’t just improve your community; it makes you part of your community. It breaks down walls, it fosters cooperation. And when that happens – when people set aside their difference to work in common effort towards a common good; when they struggle together, and sacrifice together, and learn from one another –all things are possible.” President, Notre Dame, 2009 Graduation Commencement
