Staying With Us

Thank you for your interest in HavenHouse. We have implemented the following criteria to ensure we provide quality service in support of our guests whose family members receive medical care in St. Louis.  

Criteria and Eligibility for Services:

• The patient must receive treatment from a participating hospital or medical facility.
• The patient or family must live at least 25 miles or more from the hospital.
• The initial referrals for admission must be received from a participating hospital or medical facility.
• The patient or family must agree to HavenHouse’s policies and guest guidelines.
• The patient must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if the patient is under 18.
• A maximum of 4 persons to a room, unless special arrangements are made with management.

Referral Process:

1. The hospital care coordinator or medical professional completes and faxes the HavenHouse Guest Registry.
2. HavenHouse calls the medical professional to confirm the registration or faxes a confirmation.
3. Upon arrival the guest completes a registration that includes signing the Guest Guidelines, Guest Indemnification Form and submitting a copy of a photo ID. Each family is given a brochure with helpful information, taken on a tour of the facility, and is shown to their room.
4. HavenHouse staff will maintain contact with the referring hospital or doctor staff should additional needs or questions arise, and the hospital may contact staff or social work students at any time for additional assistance or special needs for families.
